The Leicester Diabetes Centre is a leading applied health research unit committed to improving the lives and care of people with diabetes and other long term conditions.  The LDC is a collaboration between the University of Leicester and the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust and is located at the heart of NHS clinical services at the Leicester General Hospital.  The centre has been awarded the titles of ‘IDF centre of education’ and ‘IDF centre of excellence in diabetes care’ by the International Diabetes Federation.
